Adapting a File for HD Patch Embroidery

Print

WHY DOES THE FILE NEED TO BE ADAPTED?

When creating a customised patch in HD Embroidery, it is important to know that not all images are immediately ready for production. Some graphic details, such as colour shading and very small details, may not be compatible with this technique and therefore require adaptations of the image to allow correct production.

Why is it necessary to adapt an image for HD Embroidery?

Embroidery reproduces graphics with fabric threads, which involves some technical limitations. Graphic adaptations are therefore necessary to enable processing.

Elements that may cause issues:

Some graphic features are not compatible with HD embroidery processing:
Lines that are too thin – They risk being invisible in the finished product.
Colour shading and gradients – Cannot be reproduced; embroidery only allows solid colours (maximum 8-9 colours).
Very small details – May be unreadable or blurred.
Extremely complex elements

Who handles the file adaptation?

Graphic files that require no intervention are directly processed to create the "model", the digital reproduction of the patch, and go straight to the workshop for final production. Obviously, this is the best and fastest solution, allowing you to receive a patch faithful to the original design without any graphic processing.

Minor modifications

For minor modifications (or if the file is already correct), our workshop intervenes directly, at no extra cost. Once you upload your file (1) you will receive a photographic sample of your patch (2)  to approve before proceeding with production (3).
Note: subsequent modifications may incur additional costs.

Graphic processing

When the original file (1) contains one or more aspects that cannot be replicated, as mentioned, an adaptation (2) is necessary to produce the embroidered patch.
In this case, we recommend sending a new file that meets the indicated specifications or using our professional graphic services.
Once the adaptation is approved, you will receive a photographic sample of your patch (3) which, once confirmed, will trigger production (4).

Want to keep the original design? Choose fabric printing

If you want to keep your design intact (1), the ideal solution is the sublimation patch, direct printing on fabric, which allows a more faithful reproduction (2) without compromise.
