Finishing and Special Patch Processing

2D and 3D effect in patches: Patches can have either 2D or 3D visual effects, depending on the type of design and technique used.

  1. 2D effect: Patches with a 2D effect have a flat, two-dimensional appearance. The details of the design are represented through a combination of colours and lines, without any obvious relief or depth. This type of patch is suitable for simpler designs and does not require the addition of extra layers of material.

  2. 3D effect: 3D effect patches offer a three-dimensional appearance, with relief and depth in the design. This is achieved by overlapping several layers of material or by using padding to create a thick effect. The design seems to emerge from the surface of the patch, adding a tactile and visual element.

Glow in the Dark in Patches: Glow in the dark is a special effect that allows patches to emit a faint light in the dark. This effect is made possible by the use of photoluminescent pigments in the production of the patches. These pigments absorb light during the day or when exposed to a light source and then gradually release it in the dark, creating a faint but visible glow.

Patches with a glow-in-the-dark effect can add a fun and distinctive touch to a design. They are particularly appreciated in low-light environments or during night-time events. Before glowing in the dark, these patches require exposure to light for a certain period of time in order to accumulate light energy to be released later.

The 2D or 3D effect and glow in the dark can be combined in patches to create even more interesting and eye-catching results.
